I Love Pinterest

Thanks to Jana Kleczek, I'm hooked on Pinterest. Like many, we've reconnected through Facebook. Through Facebook - who really talks anymore - she told me about Pinterest. I think she actually told me that I have to get on it.

Get on it I did! My mini-obsession with Pinterest has been going on for about a month. I was hooked immediately! I find myself saying, "I saw such and such on Pinterest," way too much. Several friends tell me they just don't get it. Today, I explained to one of my long-time BFFs why it's so fabulous.

Through Pinterest, I've discovered several blogs that I doubt I would have discovered otherwise. It's also inspired me to actually do something with my own blog. 

One of my new favorite blogs is The Small Things by Kate. She's a professional hair stylist and jane of all trades. The great thing about her blog is that she has these awesome tutorials showing you how to style your hair different ways. At the age of 39, I've learned that I've been wearing bobby pins backwards and that I'm too gentle when teasing my hair. I'm so inspired by her blog that I might just welcome back bangs.

Three different cookie recipes inspired me to start baking-palooza for the holidays. I modified - I can't help myself - each of the recipes a bit, but the three I tried are: Chocolate sugar cookie from the Joy of Baking, oatmeal peppermint dipped cookies from Your Homebased Mom, and finally mocha blossoms by Culinary Concoctions. I'll post my version of the recipes at a later date.
